“A Thousand Sounds for the North” Festival invites you to three unforgettable days of music, culture, breathtaking landscapes and unique experiences in the Upper Galilee.
A collaboration between Raanana Symphonette Orchestra and the Isrotel Hotel Collection, the festival takes place at Ayala Hotel in the Upper Galilee, offering a rich cultural experience that combines outstanding music, nature and warm hospitality.
At the heart of the festival is classical music, complemented by carefully selected performances from a variety of musical genres, creating a natural dialogue between tradition, culture and contemporary sounds.
Throughout the festival, concerts and recitals will be accompanied by guided excursions to fascinating historical sites and hidden gems throughout the Upper Galilee, offering visitors a unique perspective on one of Israel’s most beautiful regions.

A Galilean Discovery Tour
Rosh Pina – The Jewel of the Galilee
Nestled in the heart of the Galilee, the picturesque village of Rosh Pina, often regarded as the mother of the Galilee’s early settlements, offers a fascinating glimpse into Israel’s pioneering history. At Beit HaPekidut (The Administration House), visitors will enjoy a multimedia presentation on the history of Rosh Pina and explore a historical exhibition. The tour also includes the home of Professor Gideon Mer, a pioneer in malaria research, the historic synagogue, the charming pedestrian street, and other highlights.
Domus Galilaeae
Perched on the slopes of the Mount of Beatitudes, overlooking the Sea of Galilee near Chorazin, Domus Galilaeae is an international center for study, reflection and spiritual encounters, and one of the Upper Galilee’s most remarkable architectural landmarks.
Built in preparation for the visit of Pope John Paul II to Israel in 2000, the complex blends contemporary architecture with sensitive integration into the surrounding landscape of the Sea of Galilee and the Galilee hills.
The project was conceived by Spanish artist Kiko Argüello and designed by an international team of architects including Mattia Del Prete, Antonio Ábalos, Alberto Durante and Guillermo Soler.
Its clean geometric lines, extensive use of natural stone, spacious interiors and tranquil courtyards create an atmosphere of serenity and contemplation. Even visitors with no religious background will appreciate its exceptional architecture and one of the most spectacular panoramic views of the Sea of Galilee.
Luria Winery – Dalton
Located in the Dalton Industrial Park in the heart of the Upper Galilee, the new Luria Winery Visitors Center offers one of Israel’s finest wine experiences.
The uniqueness of its Yosef Vineyard lies in the rare combination of basalt, terra rossa and limestone soils, producing wines of remarkable character.
Guests are invited on a memorable journey into the heart of the Galilee, combining wine tasting with local heritage. The visit includes an introduction to the winemaking process, tastings of a variety of wines, artisan cheeses, freshly baked focaccia and other local delicacies.

Following breakfast and check-out, we set out for a full day exploring the Upper Galilee, combining pioneering heritage, local artistry, regional cuisine and breathtaking landscapes.
Kfar Giladi Kibbutz & Historic Sandal Workshop
Our day begins with a guided tour through the kibbutz’s earliest homes, workshops, scenic corners and historic landmarks, revealing the story of one of Israel’s most influential kibbutzim.
We will also visit the historic sandal workshop, established in the 1930s. Today it continues to preserve the tradition of handcrafted footwear while serving as a visitors’ center showcasing the workshop’s unique story and the kibbutz’s legacy of craftsmanship and self-reliance.
Meeting with Artist Geula Galili
We continue with a visit to the gallery of Geula Galili—painter, sculptor, ceramic artist, author and poet.
During this inspiring personal encounter, Geula will share her life story, artistic journey and creative philosophy in an experience that blends art, wisdom and a deep love of humanity.
Ahla Zayit – Sde Eliezer
Our day concludes at Ahla Zayit, a family-owned olive farm in Moshav Sde Eliezer that has specialized for decades in producing premium olive oil from ancient Syrian olive groves.
Guests will enjoy tastings of the farm’s products, including olive oil, olives, tahini and honey, together with a light lunch and the opportunity to purchase some of the finest local produce from the Galilee.

Highlights of the Galilee – A Guided Discovery Tour
Magdala
Situated on the shores of the Sea of Galilee near the village of Migdal, the archaeological site of Magdala is one of the most significant locations for understanding Jewish life in the Galilee during the Second Temple period.
Excavations have uncovered the remains of a thriving first-century Jewish town, including one of the oldest synagogues ever discovered in Israel, ritual baths (mikva’ot), streets and residential buildings that offer a vivid glimpse into daily life during the time of Jesus.
Adjacent to the archaeological site stands the Duc in Altum Church, built to commemorate Jesus’ encounters with the people of the Galilee. Blending contemporary architecture with symbols from the New Testament, the church places particular emphasis on the women featured in the Gospels. Its magnificent main sanctuary, overlooking the Sea of Galilee, offers visitors a unique experience combining history, archaeology, art and breathtaking scenery.
